New Property Pages Are Just Some of the Many New Features of Version 2

Latest Enhancements in Version 2.4
(Refer to the "Version.txt" file in the download package for details)
- Removed all intermittent nagging shareware reminders. As many of you pointed out,
these were too disruptive to allow proper evaluation of ImageStation - so they have been
REMOVED! We apologize for the inconvenience.
- Added ability to modify the selection rectangle after it has been drawn, but pressing
the SHIFT key and clicking the left mouse button. The nearest corner of the selection
rectangle will move, expanding or contracting the rectangle based on the new coordinates.
- Added ability to quickly zoom in or out of a particular region of the current image by
right-clicking the mouse button to zoom in (i.e. increase magnification) and by
right-clicking in combination with the SHIFT key to zoom out (i.e. decrease
magnification).
- The page characteristics property page now displays the current magnification (zoom)
setting (useful when an option such as "fit to width" has been specified, and
thus the actual magnification depends on how large the ImageStation window is).
- Fixed bug where upon restart the magnification (zoom) edit box would not reflect the
current magnification setting if that setting had been directly typed in during the prior
session.
Latest Enhancements in Version 2.3
- Added unique naming of temporary files to allow multiple simultaneously running sessions
of ImageStation to function properly and independently
- Added "Zoom to Selection" (can select area to zoom into) and directly editable
magnification for easier and more precise magnification control
- Added Clipboard as an Acquire device to allow new page creation from the clipboard
- Added ability to stretch or shrink image to desired magnification percentage in Page
properties dialog, maintaining aspect ratio
- Added ability to change the size of an image in pixels (maintains aspect ratio) in
addition to changing resolution (via Page properties dialog)
- Added ability to change default scanning compression settings from the Options property
page
- Added selectable option to determine if the TWAIN scanner setup should be invoked prior
to each scan
- Changed default behavior of pressing the <ENTER> on the keyboard while in
ImageStation; no longer quits out, but rather is equivalent to pressing the "Acquire
Image" button.
- Enhanced algorithm used for combining image pages together (i.e. the Acquire Image from
Joining command)
- Changed operating behavior so if that if a file is opened, modified and then quit, a
confirmation prompt to quit is issued (also only if Display All Dialogs option is set)
- More accurately update Paste and Acquire (when clipboard is the source) buttons to
reflect contents (or lack thereof) of the clipboard
- Enhanced information display when selecting a region of the image: now displays selected
areas coordinates, width and height in inches, as well as diagonal (for point to point
measurements)
- Increased control of JPEG compression for TIFF files (6 settings instead of 3)
- Fixed bug where setting property NOT to retain the current image pages for the next
session would have no effect (images always retained between sessions)
- Fixed bug where starting ImageStation by selecting a document would not recycle pages
(assuming that option was active and the "retain current images for next
session" option was also active)
- Improved context-sensitive help
